Your crow looks like a black seagull? Just think of some really fancy title for it. "This Black Seagull represents the trials of humanity as we struggle up that long, long road to..." The cat vase sounds cool. No, I'm not slacking off. I care a lot less, but I still want a high GPA just because. I wonder what your Drawing Today class will be? Hmmm... You have to take a class on minorities? That will be interesting. And you get to take astronomy?! I'm jealous. That Tanith Lee book was good. Have you ever read the "Year's Best SciFi" series? It's a whole bunch of short stories. I really like them. There is a fantasy version too, but it's not as good. Yeah, I think some of the popular religious stuff today is mysogynistic. Especially Islam. I don't understand the whole thing myself. Everyone HAS to love Islam and say it's so wonderful, or else they are basically tarred and feathered. I know many femminists who are big Islam fans. Don't get it at all. I don't know if down-playing Mary is anti-women. I was reading the other day, and I guess that the whole Mary thing was added to Christianity, and the reason that she gets downplayed by protestants is that she isn't part of the original religion, not because they dislike women. What do you think? I think the problem with house wives is often a social thing, not religious. Personally, I would never want to be a house wife or mother, but I don't think that there is anything wrong with it or that it is demeaning. I do think that it's really awful when girls are raised to think that the whole acme of their existence is to get married and have kids. I used to know some girls (when I was in high school, and they were in middle school) who spent all their time making things for their weddings and buying things for their future kids. They didn't even do normal high school- they just learned to cook and stuff. They thought I was awful that I was going to college and wanted a career. I mean, there is nothing wrong with a girl deciding that she wants to get married and have kids, but to have their parents press it into their heads like that is something else. I think they were in a cult of some form. I'm not so sure about balancing a career and kids, just because I have so many students who are basically raising themselves because their moms work. I don't think there is anything wrong with having both, but the kids need to come first. I just want to smack some of the moms and tell them that they chose to have the kids, so they had better start taking care of them and stop being selfish. (I don't mean the ones that have to work to pay for food- it's the ones who work so that they can have an extra large house or a cool TV) You would like to be a house wife? That's cool. I take it there is a lack of eligible guys by you? I think that most guys are just idiots. I have only met one that I would even consider going out with, and he appears to be frightened of me. I don't know
