Hello Sonrie, Shelli, & Sarika!
Well, is Sarika there or do you get him this weekend? We were supposed to come home to Louisiana, but my husband has had to work so much this week, we ( mostly me ) decided to just stay. The trip is 402 miles and we will just have to turn around and come back Sunday. We've been to the zoo in Ft. Worth, so I think we might go to the zoo & aquarium in Dallas. Oh, you know poor Mike has been working WAY too much because, last week, we went to the pet shop in the next largest town near here, and, came home with a......FERRET! I know, we went for supplies for the PARROT. Mike helped raise 2 nephews & a niece, who are now grown, and they had one. Her name is Coco, and no, she and Pebbles CANNOT have play dates. Coco is only about 8-10 weeks old, but as an adult, she may attack my little bird. The pet shop was small, but clean, and they had a surprising amount of birds from tiny to large. There was a one-eyed sun conure that caught Mike's eye. He was pretty, but not altogether tame. ( We were told the mama bird apparently picked the eye out.) I would have considered a "rescue" if I could have handled him. And he also evidently wasn't hand fed. The birds in the shop were taken care of, but were not getting a lot of individual attention. I am just more comfortable buying from a breeder, so I know a little more about "who" and what I am getting. But I know if I add another bird it will be a Sun or a Jenday. I know exactly where to get a Jenday. I don't know a breeder who has good, hand raised, socialized Suns. I saw you put Pebbles & Toby in your aviary! That's almost as good as BOTW! LOL. Let me know how it goes with Sarika. We left y'all a vote. Take care & be careful on the road!
