Hey Sonrie & Sarika!!! ( And Shelli ) Yes, Long time no cheech!! But the good news is, we have been adding to our flock! We now have a baby sun conure. It's only about 6-7 weeks old and mom gets to finish hand feeding! No problem there, mom's got plenty of experience, including Toby. She fed him from 3 weeks. More good news: Toby is probably getting a bride. We find out Friday if the bird the breeder has is a female and when we head back to Louisiana when school starts, we'll pop in and pick her up. "Her" name is "Peanut," she's only 7 months old and her human couldn't keep her because he was transferred, so the breeder bought "her" back. Our baby sun will get dna'd & we should know what it is hopefully by the end of the week. Meanwhile, we're thinking of names. Pebbles was a little jealous, but has decided she likes the "little" baby which is bigger than she is! LOL. I'm so excited. I didn't think my husband would go for another conure, and he's the one who said to call the breeder & let's go! He's also the one who made the deal for the macaw. "She" really is pretty, so I really hope for Toby's sake it's a female! I'll get some pictures of the new baby up on Pebbles site in the next day or two. We left a vote for Sonrie, and I'll get over & leave one for Sarika! Hugs to you all! |
