Hi from Maxie the WonderBird!
Hey Chloe! Sorry to hear that you're not eating very well. Maybe that's something common with young Ekkies? Maybe your breeder would know. I'm fine with pellets and seed mixtures (& PEANUTS!) but 'iffy' with veggies and fruits. The outside birdies eat well around was given up to a Bird Park/Sanctuary in Branson West in Feb of 2007. My human worked there, and that's how I got attached to her. When the park closed, they didn't want any of the birds to go to individuals because of their lifespans, so they said that none of the employees could have any of the birds. They were going to zoos and sanctuaries only. But since I hated everyone else, and because of my age and the fact that as far as I know I had never been in cages with other birds, they made an exception in my case only, and let my person "foster" me. There are only a couple of the birds left, we haven't heard what their plans are for them. There's a little yellow shoulder amazon my person would like to have, but he's young and she figures she better not push her
