Hi KJ
Good game. Here are the results from game 2, copied from Norman's page. **** The Senegal bats were hot early with singles from Hal and SweetPepper but the Quaker infield of Audie, Simon, Peter and River would prevent any scoring after an outstanding double play. Audie and Waddles opened up the offense for the Quakers with singles followed by a HR blast by Peter which gave the Quakers an early lead. The Senegals would quickly answer with a single from Orion followed by a HR by Niah. Photon and Little Bit’s double and triple would result in a run before the Senegal outfield of DJ, Kanye, Hal and Codie started catching some flies. Quaker pitcher Micky fanned the Senegals in the 3rd and the Quakers would load the bases with hits from JoJo, Simon and River but the Senegal outfield would leave the Quakers stranded and scoreless. In the 4th, DJ and Kiddo got on base only to be thrown out by the Quaker infield once again. Jade and Micky would get on base only to be left stranded when Senegal pitching ace Savannah fanned the Quakers. The 5th inning was very similar to the previous innings with Senegals Orion, Pippin and Niah reaching the bases but this time it was the Quaker outfield of Waddles, KJ, Jade and Audie doing the catching. Peter and Simon would get base hits but now the Senegal infield of Sage, Norman, Kiwi and SweetPepper got the job done. The Senegal offense finally got rolling in the 6th with 7 straight hits by Savannah, Kiwi, CoCo, DJ, Kiddo, SweetPepper and Hal. Quaker relief pitcher Sunny was brought in to retire the side but the damage of 5 runs had been done. The Quakers only answer was a solo HR by Little Bit. The next 3 innings would see HR’s by Senegals SweetPepper, Kanye and Pippin which meant the Quakers would need a big 9th after being shut out in the 7th and 8th. The Quakers responded with a triple by Little Bit and doubles by Peter and Jade. Senegal manager Norman quickly made a pitching change and brought in rookie Pippin in relief. The Quaker bats remained hot with hits from Audie, Micky and a huge HR by JoJo but in the end the Quakers would come up just short. Final Score: Senegals 14 Quakers 12. Senegals lead the series 2-0 .Game 3 is Wednesday. Tomorrow is game 2 for the Amazons and Macaws. Amazons lead 1-0..
