I love my DYH Amazon
I love my Amazon. Mine is outgoing and goofy. My yellowhead talks, not at the level of a grey, but he makes up songs and sings them. My yellowhead only calls once a day, in the evening. He has been known to contact call when he thinks we're having fun without him, but on the whole he's not as loud as I was led to believe Amazons were. He can bite when he's excited, but he has also been trained not to bite my husband, which he was doing when we first got him. He also bites when he gets overamped, but the signs are pretty clear. Buddy's bite is different than a grey's, too. I've been bitten by both. An amazon honks and lets go. The grey who nailed me was much more deliberate:)
Anyway, I love mine, and I have absolutely no regrets about getting him.
