Hi Simon
Between our computer being slow, balky and needing a virus scan (came up clean) and my momma being tired, I have been unable to keep you up on the action...so I will post the results of all of the games now. All results copied from Norman's page *** AMAZON VS QUAKERS GAME 2: The Amazons took an early lead in game 2 with singles from Gunner and Otis and Maxie’s double. They added 1 more run in the 2nd with a solo HR by Fred. The Quakers scored their first run in the 2nd with back to back doubles by Jade and Audie. The Zons added 2 more runs in the 3rd with Max and Asha’s triples, Stubby’s doyuble and Ben’s single. Another 2 runs came in the 4th this time with Echo, Andre, Aries and Otis making the score 6-1. BlueBell’s solo HR added to the Zon’s score in the 5th bu the Quaker would get 2 back with hits from Audie, Simon and Waddles. the Amazons would then load the bases with River Photon and Quincy only to have the door slammed by the Amazons. In the 6th the Amazon offense continued to roll scoring 3 more runs with hits from Maxie, Gunner, Otis and Andre. The quakers answered back with a HR from Jake but then left Micky and Audie stranded. The Quaker defense finally stopped the Zons in the 7th and scored 3 runs with singles from Waddles, Quincy and LittleBit, a double from peter and a huge HR by River but they were still trailing by 3 runs. The Zons' added 2 more runs in the 8th when Ben hit a single and maxie knocked him home with a HR shot into right field. The Quakers again loaded the bases with JoJo, Simon, Waddles and River walked giving the team 1 run but like the 5th inning got 3 outs with bases loaded. In the 9th, Otis added a run with a HR and the Quakers needed 5 runs to tie the game. LittleBit stepped up to the plate a smacked a HR into left field. then Micky did it again with a HR to center but that was all the Quakers could come up with. Final score: Amazons 14, Quaker 11. Amazons lead 2-0. Tomorrow is game 3: Senegals vs Macaws, tied at 1-1.
