Hi from Maxie the WonderBird!
Hey Mr. Grace! Well, I think that Amazons are Seriously, it probably depends on what you're looking for in a bird to decide between a Grey and an Amazon. They greys are supposed to be the most intelligent parrots, and excellent talkers (if, like any other bird, they decide to talk at all...there's never any guarantees, sometimes a bird prefers to make sounds instead of speech). I believe an Amazon is more of a 'one-person' bird than greys, but that can vary as well. Female Amazons tend to be a little less hormonal than the males can be, so I'd always DNA test an Amazon before getting one. I don't think either breed is what you would consider lovable or cuddly like a Cockatoo can be, but I'm sure that varies by the individual bird as well. I think generally Greys may pluck their feathers more often than Amazons do. I've rarely seen a bare chested Amazon, but I've seen some Greys that are pretty naked. But do your research, since you have time, because I'm not all that familiar with Greys. Have a good day! Cya..
