Ah, the October photo shoots; they have been quite the experience. I do believe I've grown accustomed to the flurry of activity that's involved in a picture-taking session. I sit off to the side while the prop manager scurries about collecting a variety of objects, arranges them this way or that then sets me right in the midst of these items I'm normally not allowed to come into contact with. I can't explain but when that camera lens moves in close I just go into pose mode and freeze. On the rare occasion I'm in the off mood, I let it be known by paying an over abundance of attention to a nail or scratch the back of my head delicately with a toe. The camera crew knows to back off and give me some space. When I feel I've made mom sweat long enough, 'cause I know she's wondering when the magic's just going to up and end.... she's really hoping it will last through the end of this month as I've been advertising 31 Nu Pics, I resume The Pose and smirk at the sound of her sigh of relief. The amazing thing is that I don't just fly off; my wings have finally become useful again, doing what a bird's wings are supposed to do; carry me away! Everyday now I have several flight practice sessions from the family room, down the hall which as a corner turn in it and then on through the kitchen to the far counter. When I first started this exercise routine I was doing some really heavy breathing with just a short distance of flight. My landings were none to graceful either. Not exactly a plus for a Queen, stumbling all over herself as she makes her not-so-grand entrance. Now I'm able to make the journey four times without showing signs of 'tuckered-out'. ~Knowing how busy your mom is, T. Bird, I really appreciate your notes. I wish you could see how I light up at sight of your name on my page. Your drinking from the spigot at the sink sounds so like you; making a simple routine behavior such a drinking water an entertaining show. Very refreshing, you are. Your Main Pic is perfect for this time of year. Always did like that pic with Mother Nature creating a backdrop perfectly coordinated with your color scheme. You make Autumn all the more beautiful. Good luck with conjuring 'creepy' and 'foreboding'—I can see where that would be a tough one for you. You're just too cute to pull those off, I'm sorry. Where you're mom gets the idea you've got 'scary' down pat, I don't know. Again, all I see is darling. Keep your eye on the sky... this Witch maybe flying by. K *v*
