Hello Dew Drop
Here is the latest update on Pringle. The vet says she has fatty liver disease, (all her symptoms point to it) and she is responding to the treatment. Yesterday was the first time in about a month that she ate all her food by herself. Her skin problem still needs to be resolved, but maybe once her liver starts healing that will heal too. We had to get some Vit K for some bruising and bleeding under her skin yesterday. I got to go on the trip to pick it up. When Mama brought me into the office I introduced myself quietly. Unfortunately, nobody heard me. A couple of people asked what I was and a young girl working there came over and oohed and ahed over me. Mama took me out of the carrier and handed me to her. I stepped up on her hand, climbed part way up her arm and put my beak on her shirt, then I sat there soaking in the attention. Then I was handed to someone else. After a bit Mama put me back in the carrier thinking I would be happier in there. I climbed and climbed around until Mama said she would take me out if I asked. I finally gave in and said, "Can I come out?" I was rewarded by being taken out right away. I sat on Mama's knee and looked around. No one was paying any attention to me, so I made a big popping sound. No effect. Then I started preening my wings in the most exaggerated way, fluffing up my feathers and preening really quickly. Someone looked at me. Okay progress. Finally the receptionist had time to talk to us. I eagerly leaned towards her when Mama stood up. She offered me her pen and I got to beak it. Mama put me on the counter and I walked across to someone who had been looking at me earlier. I climbed right up on her hand and was rewarded by undivided attention. I rewarded her by saying, "You're all wet!" and some clucking. That's all I would say and told everyone they were 'all wet.' I love meeting new people. It always makes my day. I hope your bunny is doing well. I hope you have a nice day. Leaving you a vote. Poirot
