Hi Baby and the flock!
I have a lot to tell you. First, I hope you had a nice weekend & holiday! We had a great holiday weekend. Mom and dad spent time with family and friends too. Me, on the other hand, was stuck in the slammer more than usual. Geez! So many people were around this weekend, even that darn baby again! Everybody was cooking and eating, although I did get my treats as well. I woke up Friday morning to a big scare! Mom uncovered me and I started screaming because I saw something up in the yard! I had my umbrella up and tail feathers fanned out! Mommy asked me, “What’s wrong? What’s wrong sweetie?” and she turned to see what I was looking at and she saw it…a big brown horse had gotten loose from the neighbors and was in the back yard. Mom wasn’t scared a bit. She thought it was kinda cool. (She’s NUTS!) Anyway, I saw her walk up to the horse and pet her and talk to her. She led the horse down to the house, got some carrots and walked her home, up that long, long drive way next door. When mom got back she said she felt sorry for the horse because she was very malnourished and her bones were showing and her back was sunken in around her spine. She had burrs in her mane and was all muddy. Mom is such a sucker for animals. I’m glad she doesn’t being every one home she feels sorry for! Well, I came home Monday night and will be glad when mom & dad finally get married and I have one place to live. Although I do travel pretty well, mom said. So, mom made her slippery pot-pie (aka-chicken & dumplins Friday night and it was a big hit with the family. Sunday morning, Granny & Grandma came over and they and Dad, Mom, and dad’s daughter made Hog Maw. Ewwwww…. sounds disgusting. There were about 30 people at the house Sunday night; thank goodness they were all down stairs. Mom came up and visited me and kept me company a few times that evening. She even let me go down and visit with everyone. She was scared I was gonna bite someone though. I bit her Friday night again. I didn’t wanna swing upside down, and she tried to get me to do it, so I sunk my beak in her right hand again. She said, oh well… another scar and admitted it was her own fault. I feel bad for hurting mommy though. Well, need to blog some of my other friends too, so have a great day! I will be voting for Casper this week. Please keep Rocky in your prayers. Love ya! Your pal, Cuddles (v4u)
