Hello Jade
I'm bouncin' today. Been kinda' touchy about this new place & these new people & all. When Sunshine chased me off his house & off his perch it upset me 'cause I'm used to Fred bein'in my house. And with his problems, I have protected him for a long time. We aren't used to being touched, either, & this new person who calls herself Mom likes to touch a lot. And I'm always afraid someone is hurting my Fred. I flew at this lady quite a few times yesterday & scratched her head & neck & face, & guess what? She didn't even holler at me. But every time I see her picking Fred up & see him scared like that, it scares me for him so I get upset. Then tonight, we were really hungry & smelled her good cooking. Fred walked out to the kitchen to watch & I followed him like always. She made up our bowls & tried to get us to follow her into the living room. I flew in but Fred didn't come so she went back for him & carried him in. He was just sitting on her hand & she was stroking his head & he wasn't hollering or anything. I got scared & flew at her again but she just talked softly to us both & put me on the playstand. Then she held Fred up close to me & kept stroking his head & he wasn't upset at all so I calmed down. After a really good dinner she cleaned our houses up & gave all of us fresh water. Once inside, she just talked to us & stroked Fred on the beak with 1 finger & he just let her. And when she tried to stroke mine, I let her, too. It felt nice. Then she rubbed Fred's head with 1 finger & he didn't even try to bite her this time, so I let her stroke mine, too. That felt nice, too. I'm beginning to see why Sunshine lets them rub his head all the time. We just might get to like it here. Thanks for being' here & for listening. You look something like Fred, 'cept he has yellow cheeks. Wing hugs my new friend, & a v4u2. KaRyn
