A note from Ben
Hey Tootley "BOY"! You are a boy you know. Hehehe. Anyway, it's good to have you back on the site buddy. Yup, you read the blog right. I live with a stinky little dachshund. Well, I guess she really doesn't stink, but I don't like her very much. Mom likes dachshunds because they are low to the ground, so she doesn't have to worry about the dog getting close to my beak in the cage. The dachshund I live with is named Ruthie. She doesn't seem bothered by me at all, except when I scream in which case she gets up and walks to another room. Other than that, her and I don't interact much because I'm a little nippy. I claimed her dog bed in the living room as my own little mountain, and one night I flew over to fight her for it when she settled down to take a nap. Mom grabbed me off the floor really quick, and that is the closest I ever got to that dog. My mom says that your family should be fine if they decide to get a dachshund. The puppy will grow up learning to respect birdies, just like the kitty in my house has learned. Dachshunds are great little dogs because they have the personality of a bigger hound dog, but they are small which makes them easier to have around. Hope that helps your mommy in her decision! Take care buddy and remember that you are a boy!
