That is so scary! So far mom hasn't had any problems with any of us birds and our blood feathers. The Malucan Cockatoo Sly grew up with pulled his blood feathers out a couple of times when his mom was at work. She came home with blood everywhere in his cage all over the walls and all over Princess, an umbrella. She called the vet the first time and just cleaned up the second. He doesn't do it any more. But, yeah, he pulled them himself!! Won't catch ME doing that. I'm sure glad you're okay now.
I'm all covered up and the lights don't bother me. Sometimes if the university students are throwing a real loud party we get woke up. Mom calls the cops and says she doesn't mind the party lasting so long as long as they're quiet enough NOT to wake the birds. Makes the officers laugh and they get there and quiet them down. By the time the party is that loud you don't want to go to quiet them yourself. --Dandy. left a vote too
