GOOD GAME!
WE DID IT!! WE WON!!

Keets' Comeback Clips Zons
The Kevlar Keets came from behind Tuesday to take a razor-thin 13-12 win over the Cloumbian Conquistadors.
The game was a thriller all the way as the lead went back-and-forth throughout. Both teams posted single runs in the first inning. The Keets got two runs in the top of the second but the Zons put up single runs in the second and third to tie the game at 3-all. The Keets exploded for three runs in the fourth as Jazzy, Duty, and Henry drove in scores.
The Conquistadors seemed to take command of the contest in the bottom of the fourth as they pushed seven big runs across the plate. They opened up the inning with five straight singles. Fred followed with a grand-slam home run and the Zons had a 10-6 lead. Neither team scored for the next two innings but in the top of the seventh the Keets began their comeback with a two-run triple by Mr. Birdie. In the eighth Lattie drove in a run and Betty plated a pair to put the Keets up 11-10.
But the Zons would not go down that easily as they came back in the bottom of the eighth as Ethyl hit a two-run homer to move the Conquistadors to a 12-11 lead. It was now the Keets turn as Duty singled and Lattie smacked a two-run homer over the fence for a 13-12 lead. Duty shut the Zons down in the bottom of the ninth to preserve the thrilling win for the Kevlar Keets.
Fred led the Zons with a grand-slam homer and his flockmate Ethyl drove in three runs. Alfie, Pebbles, Karyn, Max, and Jenny-Lynn all drove in runs.
Lattie and Mr. Birdie drove in three runs each for the Keets. Jazzy and Betty plated two each while Tweety, Duty, and Henry all drove in a run for the winners.

Tweety, that one run you drove in, it was the one point that we were ahead, if you think about it. Proud to be on the same team with you. Get yourself a treat and relax for the evening... you deserve it! T '>
