Hallelujah!!!! Hallelujah!!!

Da Pois’N’Dem took the field today with a new lineup and a determination to win their 1st game. However, Asha and her Brazillain Bombers stood in the way. Junior opened with a solo HR followed by hits from Rafiki, Calico, Molli, Kaji and Tiki. The inning would finish as it started with a HR by Hal. In the 2nd the Zons came back scoring 3 runs when Asha scored when Ben hit a HR. Maxie would follow with another HR. Pois Angel and Mongo added a run to their score to lead 8-4. The Zons would inch closer with a solo HR by Andre but the Pois continued scoring as they added 4 more runs with Junior’s Solo HR followed by Rafiki and Calico scoring with yet another Pois HR from Kaji. In the 4th, Ben and Maxie combined for 1 run but the Pois matched it with a solo HR from Nippy. The Zons finally got going in the 5th scoring 5 runs when Andre and Echo scored off of Aries HR. Stubby, Asha, BabyGirl and Ben would combine for another 2 and the Pois Appollo and Angel combined for 1 run. The score was now 13-11 Pois. The 6th saw the Pois extend their lead when Junior and Rafiki scored when Molli hit a HR. The 7th saw a solo HR by Asha. TraiLing by 4 runs, the Zons rallied in the 8th when Echo scored with Pocco’s HR followed by Andre and Aries reaching home with Stubby’s HR. Asha and BabyGirl would add 1 more to make the score 18-17 Zons. The Pois were determined to get the lead back and in the 8th, Captain Oliver’s HR would score Apollo and Junior to retake the lead 20-18. The Zons would try to rally when Echo opened the 9th with a single and advanced to third on Pocco’s double but the Pois would finally come through. Final Score: Da Pois’N’ Dem 20, Brazillian Bombers 18.
