Romeo --
Team, good news is we played hard and led for a long time. Then the Macaws woke up and just overpowered us. We'll do better next game.

MIGHTY MACAWS POLISH THE POIS
Macaw pitcher Rio has been very vocal about today’s game so it was time to put up or shut that beak. The Pois took it to Rio and the Macaws in the 1st inning scoring 5 runs with hits from Rafiki and Romeo and 3 smashing HR by Junior, Mongo and Molli. Lucky would score when Jake hit a triple but the Macaws found themselves behind 5-1. In the 2nd Tiki opened with a HR. Nippy would then hit a single and score on a HR by George. Macaw captain/catcher Lucky flew out to the mound to settle Rio down. Apollo would hit a single but the Macaws escaped the inning down 8-1 when the Macaws loaded the bases but failed to score. The next 7 innings saw flawless defense from the Macaws allowing only 8 hits and no runs but could the Pois hold own to their lead? In the 3rd, Floop hit a HR followed by Ms. Presley and Lucky combining for 1 more. In the 4th, Jake and Jasper would combine for 1 to make the score 8-4 Pois. More scoring came for the Macaws in the 6th with doubles by Louie and Hootie and singles by Captain Mac and Baby. The Macaws would tie the game in the 7th with 2 runs with hits by Lucky, Alex, Jake and Indy. Malachite and Louie would both hit HRs in the 8th to take their 1st lead of the game for the Macaws. 4 more runs would follow but that proved to be all they needed. Final Score: Mighty Macaws--14, Da Pois ‘N’ Dem--8.

Coach Ollie
