Hi Miss Birdy
It is day three of our fabulous honeymoon, and the four of us landed at Sydney Intl Airport bright and early. Jivu picked us up from the airport, and took us back to his house for a sumptious breakfast of eggs, birdy bread and other yummy treats. He then took his post as navigator in the car, and we went and saw all the typicalo Australian wildlife. We saw a koala, a kangaroo, a platypus (so strange!!), a wombat and the very ferocious Tasmanian Devil. We got a chance to chat with a few wild cockatoos, and I do enjoy this opportunity to get local color from the natives. We drove by the ocean and the salt water swimming pool Jivu's mom goes to. After a wonderful day of seeing the sights, we went on a harbor ship tour and ended up at the famous Sydney Opera House for an elegant dinner (see profile pic) in their gourmet restaurant. We let Peanut and Cody sit by themselves for a litle quality time. After dinner we had a private tour of the Opera House. It is incredible. The symphonic orchestra perfomed a magnificent program of Russian music that was just wonderful. Then the day was finished off with a fine display of fireworks over the Opera House. Whew! I can't believe how wonderful Australia is.
Tomorrow we head for Ayers Rock!
Please come by my Honeymoon page (not the wedding page) and see all of the pics from our tour of Sydney.
Talk to you tomorrow!
Kiddo & friends
