Nanje -- Another close game lost --
TAGs Nip Supers
The second day of inter-league play saw the Talon League win again as the Timnahs used a ninth-inning comeback to take a 13-12 victory over the Super Sennies.
The Super Sennies took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning but the Timnahs came back with five runs in the bottom of the first as Tootles and Star hit home runs for the Greys. The Sennies got two runs in the second but the TAGs matched that with single runs in the second and third. The Sennies then kept the Greys scoreless over the next four innings as they posted six runs to take a 10-7 lead.
The TAGs got two runs in the bottom of the eighth to cut the lead to one but the Sennies go those two runs back in the top of the ninth to boost the lead back to 12-9. The Timnahs opened the ninth with back-to-back-to-back triples from Sammy, Tootles, and Bongo to cut the lead to one. Star walked to put two runners on base but the Sennies got two outs to get within one out of victory. But Scooter Pie would not let that happen as he blasted the fourth triple of the inning to bring home the winning two runs.
Lover Boy led the Sennies with three runs batted in. Lola, Pico, and Gus sent two runs home each while Mango, Sam, and Kermit drove in runs.
Star drove in four runs to lead the Timnahs. Tootles plated three, Scooter Pie two and Stormy, Smoky, Trouble, and Bongo one each.

Miss Duncan
