Mango --
Sorry to be late with the results; our typist was very busy.

The Senegal Savages took the field today against the Super Sennies for bragging rights. The game was scoreless until the bottom of the 2nd when the Super Sennies took the lead with AZ Mango and Ziggy scoring when Kermit hit a HR. The Savages came right back scoring 5 runs with hits from SweetPepper, Kanye, Codie, Sage and HRs by Pippin and Niah. The Super Sennies would tie the game when EA, NY Mango, Lola and Sam combined for 2 runs. The Savages would break the tie in the 4th with back to back HRs by Kiwi and DJ to take a 7-5 lead while holding the Super Sennies scoreless. The Savages would extend their lead in the 5th when SweetPepper hit a solo HR. The Savages would load the bases with Kanye, Codie and Pippin and Kanye scored when Niah hit a single. The Super Sennies were lucky to retire the side with bases loaded. Kermit, EA and NY Mango combined for 1 run but trailed the Savages 9-6. The Super Sennies would hold the Savages scoreless in the 6th and tie the game at 9 with Sam’s HR, triples by Lars and Gus and KiwiWee’s single. The Savages broke loose in the 7th scoring 8 runs. DJ would open with a double followed by 6 consecutive singles by Kiddo, SweetPepper, Kanye, Codie, Orion and Pippin. Sage stepped up to the plate and cleared the bases for the Savages hitting a Grand Slam HR. The Savages would hold the Super Sennies scoreless in the 7th and 8th added 1 more run in the 8th with another string of 4 singles but once again with bases loaded, the Super Sennies stopped the scoring. With 1 inning to play and down, 18-9, the Super Sennies needed a BIG inning. Max would get things started with a solo HR but Savage’s pitcher Savannah would strike out the next 3 batters to clinch the game. Final Score: Senegal Savages 18, Super Sennies 10.
