Hi Silver Moon
Dandy here. Thanks for the message about Piemur. Yes, he was happy with mom. He knew he was safe and loved. He'd go to sleep against her chest. He was happy. We just wish we could have had him longer.
The vet was surprised when he went back to set his leg. He thinks it's because Piemur was in such horrible condition. His wings were clipped way to short, he was dehydrated, starved (his breast bone stuck out so much you could SEE it)Vet thinks that if he would have survived to make it back home he may have been okay. But the stress of the exam and the pain of the leg....well, it just happened. If mom could have been there instead of having to drop him off, maybe he would have known she didn't forsake him and fought harder to live. But we tell her it wasn't her fault. Mina is even snuggling mom lately. But we're getting over his loss.
Gotta fly for now. v4u
