Vote No. 15...Comin' at ya!!!
Hi Talon! This is Rosalie Hale Bopp; Rosie to my friends. I saw your blog while I was visiting Rainbow the Macaw (who just happens to be my very handsome beau), and I thought I would wing on by and leave you a vote to help you on your goal. I have a little Green-Cheek Conure brother named TidBit. His namesake, Little bit (also a GCC), came to our family as a rescue of sorts. My dad answered an ad looking for a new home for a Severe Macaw, and when he arrived at the meeting point to pick up that bird (which the previous owners had transported in a small parakeet cage, IN THE TRUNK OF THEIR CAR!!!) he discovered that, not only was it NOT a Severe Macaw, but they had no idea how old it was, what sex it was, and had never even NAMED it! We had LB for a long time. And when he died, Mom looked at lots of different kinds of Conures, and she was really looking for a Jenday. Needless to say, when she saw Tidbit in a store, and he had a toe missing, he reminded her so much of LB (AND he was handicapped) that the happy memories she had been holding took over and we adopted another Green-Cheek instead. But she still drools over you guys whenever she sees one, and you're the first Jenday we've come across on the BirdChannel. Sooo, you've won her heart, and our vote! Welcome to the Bird eClub, and we hope you have lots of fun making friends and gettin' votes. Stop by any time, if you take a notion to. -<`)- PS Mom's bugging me to tell you how much she luuuvs your 'stretching' picture. She's smilin' so big, we probably won't have to turn the lights on in here for a while!
