Sennies Super Against Zons
The Super Sennies used a big second inning to build a lead and then held on for a 26-20 win over the Columbian Conquistadors.
The Amazons scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning to take the initial lead but the Sennies came roaring back with an even dozen runs in the top of the second. Max opened the deluge by driving in Sam and Lars with a double. Lover Boy smacked a bases-loaded triple and scored on Erin Amber’s triple. Lola singled home Erin and scored on Lars’ second hit of the inning. Max singled in Lars, Pico tripled home Max, and Gus ended the scoring with a home run to put the Sennies up 12-2.
THE Sennies led 25-12 in the eighth when the Zons tried to start a comeback with eight runs but it was not nearly enough as the Super Sennies held on for the 26-20 win.
SunShine led the Zons with four RBIs while BlueBell, Pebbles, and Fred drove in three each. Karyn and Alfie plated two runs and Max, Ethyl, and Fred The Elder pushed one run across the plate.
Lover Boy and Sam drove in four runs each to pace the winners. Max, Erin Amber, Lola, Lars, and Gus all pushed three runs in while Mango drove in two and Pico one.
