Keets Klobber Senegals
The Kevlar Keets responded to the pep-talk from their manager Turk and flexed their feathers Thursday on the way to a 21-18 win over the tough Super Senegals. The tough little birds powered eleven home runs in the contest and left their opponents mumbling about performance enhancing millet spray.
The Keets got on the scoreboard first in the top of the first inning as Duty and Lattie connected for back-to-back jacks. Turk tripled and Henry lost one over the fence as the Keets took a 4-0 lead. The Keets were still flying high in the top of the second inning as Mr. Birdie tripled and scored on a single by Tweety. Jazzy homered to drive in Tweety and Duty hit a solo shot as the Keets now led 8-0.
The Senegals chipped away at the lead and had cut it to 12-8 entering the seventh but the Keets got two-run shots from Betty and Tweety to extend the lead to 16-8. Betty added another two-run jack in the eighth to boost the margin to 18-8.
The Senegals finally put on their hitting cleats in the bottom of the eighth as they sent eleven birdies up to bat with all of their runs scoring after two outs had been recorded. Lover Boy and Erin Amber reached base and scored ahead of a home run by NY Mango. Lola and Sam singled ahead of a triple by Lars. Max tripled in Lars and then scored ahead of a home run by Pico. Gus added a solo shot and the Sennies had cut the lead to 18-17.
The Keets added three runs of insurance in the top of the ninth and allowed only a solo home run from Erin Amber in the bottom of the inning as they won by the final margin of 21-18.

I think I should suggest to the rest of the team to get a little Wheat Grass in before every game; it might be what gives you such excellent ball playing skills. Great coverage of the Short Field you had. Your team appreciates it. T '>
