TOOS POUND POIS
The C-2 White Hawks got on the board early in the 1st inning when Vinnie, Ted and Romeo combined for 2 runs. The Pois stayed close when George scored after a series of singles by Jack, Apollo and Mongo but unfortunately left the bases loaded. The Toos stayed hot in the 2nd with opening triples by Cuddles and Sailor. Snuggles, Clyde, Vinnie and Ted would add to the run total but once again the Pois scored 2 when Romeo scored when Junior hit a HR to make the score 7-3. The big white birds could not be stopped in the next 3 innings scoring a whopping 17 runs. Cuddles, Sailor, Clyde and Snuggles had 3 hits each. 2 hits by Chico, Rocky PR, Cocoa, Christine Dijon and 1 hit from Ted, Vinnie and Romeo. The stunned Pois could not get on the scoreboard until the 6th inning with Molli’s solo HR followed by Tiki and Nippy scoring when Hal hit a HR while holding the Toos to just a single run. With the score 25-7, the Toos continued to score in the 7th adding 3 runs when Rocky PR and Clyde scored when Vinnie hit a HR. Pois Mongo and Angel added 1 in the 7th and Junior and Rafiki 1 more in the 8th as the Pois were finally able to blank the Toos for the rest of the game. Going into the bottom of the 9th and trailing 28-9, the Pois loaded the bases but by this time, all the wind had blown out of their sails. Final Score: C-2 White Hawk 28, Da Pois ‘N’ Dem 9.
