After giving up 1st place in the Beak League to the Brazilian Bombers, the Tiel Terrors were looking to get back on a winning streak against the Super Sennies. The Tiel defense blanked the Sennies for the 1st 2 innings but were only able to score 2 runs against the green birds when Mr. BB scored when Honey hit a HR. The Sennies got on the score board in the 3rd with Lola’s solo HR. Both teams were quiet until the 5th inning when the Sennies took the lead when Kermit scored when Lover Boy hit a HR. EA and Lola would then score off of Sam’s triple to make the score 5-2 Sennies. The Tiel offense would be held scoreless until the 7th inning when Pierre hit a solo HR. But the Sennies came back when Kermit and NY Mango scored when Lola hit a triple to make the score 8-3 Sennies. In the 8th, Sennie Pico scored when Gus singled as the Tiel offense was blanked for the 6th time in the game. Trailing 9-3 the Tiels needed to rally big time. Their defense would do the job in the 9th so it was up to the offense to make things happen. The Tiels loaded the bases with Buddy, Dewey and Smokey. Maxie’s single would score 1 and still leave the bases loaded. Tweety stepped up to the plate and it was miracle time as the sellout crowd saw the Grand Slam HR sail over the center field fence. Unfortunately for the Tiels, the firework fizzled. Final Score: Super Sennies 10, Tiel Terrors 8.
