Good Day, Gil!
I see you've added another picture and was that avatar there yesterday? I don't recall seeing it or I would've commented on what a great replica of you it is.

You asked if I chat with the any wild flocks here. As I live in a sea of corn and soybean fields (you can see green waving for miles around from my place- I live out in the country) there are really few wild birds to gab with. The common little brown sparrows are frequent company and the occasional flock of cowbirds (which no birdie likes 'cause they're loud, rude, and messy) but other than that, me and my flock are about it. Because of our remote location and limited places to fly off to, the zebra finches here are allowed outdoor access all summer. They come and go out of our BirdBarn at liberty, often perching on the outside of my aviary and bragging about the view without a wire interruption. Because they depend on the food mom puts out for them they don't go far from home. The four neighbors this little cluster of homes has also feed the finches their preferred mix so they're rather spoiled, if you ask me. Come fall, the seed is only served inside the barn and the wire opening is reclosed for the winter. I try and convince mom that we 'keets would stay home like the finches do but she's not willing to let us roam that freely. Drats. Oh well, don't have to worry about stray cats in here.
With it being Monday, there are new menu items. I invite you to come by for a peek, see if there's anything you might like. Here, a sample to whet your appetite... {l} (a pecan) & (( (a cashew). T '>
