REST IN PEACE FRED
ALL YOU BEAUTIFUL PARROT LOVERS OR ANIMAL LOVERS.....
FRED PASSED AWAY THIS MORNING 12-01-09. SADLY, AS I WRITE THIS, MY MIND IS ELSWHERE. HE PLAYED CHEERFULLY AND HAPPILY WITH MY DAUGHTER, GAVE HER THE LAST KISS, AND PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY. FRED WAS SEVERLY ABUSED AND HAD AN ONGOING NEUROLOGICAL CONDITION. I KNOW FRED CROSSED THAT RAINBOW BRIDGE THIS MORNING, AND THAT GOD SENT HIM TO ME AS A GIFT, TO GIVE HIM HIS LAST YEARS, HAPPY AND LOVED AND WELL FED. CELEBRATE WITH ME THIS GIFT. HIS HAPPY PART OF LIFE. WE AS RESCUERS SUFFER AS MUCH AS THE PARROT, AS WE TRY TO NURSE THEM BACK TO LIFE. I LOVED FRED DEARLY, KNEW WHAT WAS AHEAD, AND SPENT SPECIAL TIME WITH HIM. HE WAS BUILT A WALK BOARD FOR HIS FEET, AS THEY TIRED EASILY. I LOVED FRED, BUT JESUS LOVED HIM MORE. I HAVE LOST ONE OTHER RESCUE PARROT IN THE PAST. TIPPY (A MEXICAN RED HEAD) WHO HAD THE SAME CONDITION AS FRED. I HAVE LOST A BIG PART OF MY FAMILY. JUST A LITTLE TIME WITH MY OTHER PARROTS, AS I HAVE DISCUSSED FRED WITH THEM. PREVIOUSLY, I TAUGHT THEM HOW TO CRY, AND AS I TALKED TO WENDY,GYPSY, AJ AND POPEYE, THEY ALL STARTED CRYING. THEY KNEW FRED WASN'T COMING HOME. WHEN WILL PEOPLE LEARN, YOU CAN'T BUY A PARROT, PUT IT IN A CLOSET AND THROW HIM AWAY, BECAUSE THEY ARE NOISEY. SUNLIGHT-NOURISHMENT-LOVE-
YOU DON'T GET ONE FOR JUST SHOW AND TELL, AND LOCK THEM UP. HELP
