Knuck --
We were definitely not out in the cold when the ball dropped -- except, our Miss Duncan (who has almost NO feathers except on her wings) went with Cesar (her guy), and ourr Ollie went with Molli from the same flock as Cesar (Molli had pants on under her glamorous dress, and Miss Duncan was all covered in a sweater and beaded, embroidered fleece pants). Cesar and Dunkie have worked out a method of flying where Cesar supports her on her bad-wing side. They fly pretty well that way -- Cesar is strong enough to help carry her. Any way, they swooped by just as the ball fell, then they came right back to our nest. They said they had a great time, but I did notice they were certainly ready for hot cider when they got home.

The rest of us were smart enough to watch on television.
