Gandalf here!!
Hi Kiwi!!
Yes, as Apollo said, I am a bit of a grump when it comes to other parrots. However I was like this before mom brought me home. I do like to hear all my flockmates and if ever they are not around so I can hear them, I panic! But playing with them? Nope. Mom thinks another grey for me may be the ticket, however a birdie physchologist said I may even get nasty with another of my own kind. Oh well, what can I say? For you and your new Baby grey coming, I agree with Apollo. Become friends when the grey as a baby! I'm sure the baby has a great disposition and will feel lonely without his clutch mates, so I am sure you and Baby Grey will do just fine!
Sorry I could not be more of a help, I am just grumpy! hee hee.
Take care!
