Paco told me that you and Lucky had previously written to me. Gosh, I'm so sorry that I didn't respond! Mom is not the most reliable secretary to us. Oh, you humans!
I'm currently wearing a collar because I picked this little, teeny tiny sore on my tummy. Mom overreacts (in my opinion) and then it's off to the vet's for a collaring ritual. When I get it on, the vet uses stainless steel nuts and bolts and lots of medical tape to keep it on - I'm a real Houdini when it comes to slipping out of my bondage.
I get it a few times a year, for several weeks at a time. I don't know why I worry my tummy sometimes. I'm clean, fed, watered, fawned over, played with, and cared for. It's just the vestiges of old habits from those dark days, I guess.
How are you doing? What's the latest in the life of a 'tiel as lovely as yourself? You staying warm out there?
Speaking of 'tiels, the one that shared my little, dirty cage back when I was rescued also had a good ending. He was renamed Einstein (so smart to survive all he went through) and he was also rehomed. I had preened him until he was a bit bald, but it grew back. (He's lucky I didn't eat him for a meal, we were so starved.) I guess he was my only friend and you can't hurt a friend, no matter how dire the circumstances. So I am partial to 'tiels!
Anyway, you two have a great rest of the day. Stop by to say hi to me or any of us anytime! We all have our survival stories . . .
