Hey from Artie
Hi Buddy - How you doin'? What is the latest in your life? How's the flock (human and feathered)?
I'm not doing so great. When I went to get my collar off, the vet took some blood. She found that I have an infection, probably in my heart. (I've had one before there.) AND, to make matters worse, my blood pressure, which is high, has elevated.
She put me on some strong antibiotics. I go in to see her every week for a shot. I don't know for how long. My blood pressure meds have been increased, too.
Mom is so heartbroken. She just wants me to be healthy. It's so frustrating and scary to keep running into one health challenge after another. Well, she can't forget that I'm a fighter. A survivor. I've made it this far despite the problems -- which are due to the past abuse and neglect I suffered -- and I intend to keep fighting. I'm full of life and bouncy. I'm going to beat this, dammit!
So please keep your claws crossed for me.
