Sky was our first tiel and we had him for about a year when he got sick. We took him to the vet and they couldn't find anything wrong with him so they sent him home. He was fine for about a week and then he got sick again. We brought him back to the vet not knowing that it would be the last time. THey couldn't find anything wrong with him but figured he was in pain so they asked my mom if they could put him to sleep and she said yes. They did a necropsy and discovered tumors in his liver. I was mad at first when I found out that she told them to go ahead and euthanize him but accepted that it was what was right. It has been three years since he died and since then we have had over twenty tiels. Most of which have passed so now we have two tiels, Rocky and Molly, Two Sun Conures. Cheeto and Holly, three finches, Ozzy Harriet and Clyde, and a canary, Sunny.
