What a Grand & Glorious Day it was in the Castle!
It all began with a midnight bequeathment of the Crown from KIng Zebers to myself. At that hour, one would think I'd be tired and ready to retire to the Royal Chambers but I was far too excited to think about sleep so I willingly agreed to a tour of the Castle's interior

Exiting the Throne Room, I was led down a long hallway, opulently decorated in rich brocades and intricately carved furniture (with not a beak mark on it). The walls were adorned with the portraits of the many who have worn the crown and walked the halls before me: HRG Finnegan, Queen Popeye, King Floop, just to name a few. Approaching the massive doors of the Great Hall, I could almost hear the music and laughter that has often emanated from there. At the hour of the night I saw it, the hall was strangely dark and oddly quiet. Continuing on the down the corridor, I got a glimpse of the Dining Hall and the Library as well as the Breakfast Atrium and the Jungle Room. The climb up the Grand Staircase brought me to the second floor, a level filled with many a room finely decorated to meet every imaginable desire. The Brazilian Rosewood Room caught my eye with its rich dark woods and plush furnishings. When my eyes lingered on the inviting scene, it was suggested that perhaps I might like to retire for what was left of the night. Words elude me to describe how sweet my slumber was in the remaining hours of last night. Never before has a young Zon had sweeter dreams!
As dawn peeked through the windows come daybreak, I was tempted to stay put in the comfort of the Royal Chamber, but knowing there's little time to waste in a one day stay at the Castle, I bounded from my bed, ready to enjoy the honor of being a King to the fullest. The floor in the room must have sensors in it for as soon as my feet touch the Persian rug, amazing things began to happen. The drapes whisked back to reveal a breath-taking view of the Royal Grounds, Mahatma & Ghandi trumpeted the break of the new day, and a soft knock at the door foretold the arrival a wee bird, announcing the entrance of my gal Jennifer Lynn. In this romantic setting, I fully expected to see her adorned in silk and lace with accessories of pearls and gems. Instead she was wearing her not-so-concealed weapon and carrying a bottle of Scotch she said needed protecting. Behind her followed a procession of Castle attendants, each bearing a tray loaded with every imaginable morsel. I couldn't help but notice the succulent papaya and hot roasted peanuts and instantly thought of Grady and Macalune who had hoped that those favorite treats would be a part of my day. Veronica, Toby and Snowball would definitely be pleased there were so many options for their King to choose from.
