Thanks from Max PART ONE
Yesterday at the castle is a day I will never forget. It started when Mom woke me up early to tell me she got an email saying I won BOTD, to pack what I want to bring and let’s go, we were on our way. I had already prepared a few things to bring along with me, and everybirdy has said that the castle has everything a bird could ever imagine so I was not worried, not was I disappointed. Like Floop said as I left, on mom’s shoulder, *ask and you will get* and boy was he right*.
Mom dropped me off at the moat, and I look around this huge place a moment before flying up to the gate, where Oliver awaited me, handing me a familiar crown, one which I later realized is one of Floop’s. which Mom was working on the other night. It fit perfectly. I smiled. I was really BOTD. It was not a dream. Oliver and I had breakfast together before he departed, a feast for a king. And I thought Mom made good food. Then I was on my own. What to do first. This place is so big. Then I remembered. Floop had told me where his chariot was parked, and he had given me the key. My tour of the castle began. It sure saved walking, and I would get too tired flying everywhere, and I did want more than an aerial view of things. First things first. I had to visit with George the Tiger, and Lizzie the Dragon (TiPaul would have not been happy had I not stopped in to say hi to them). The Jungle Room is something I wish I could have at home. Then, just driving around these amazing grounds, I got back just in time for lunch. And what a lunch it was. I asked the staff that a couple of plates be put out for my friends that came by to congratulate me all day long. I stopped to talk to them, and that made the day even more fun! I even got to watch the baseball game from the best seats in the house!
