The Mighty Macaws took the field today against the Wonder Wings. The Macaws got off to a quick start scoring 4 runs in the 1st inning. Malachite opened things up with a solo HR. Louie and Captain Mac would then score when Baby hit a HR. Lars would open with a single and score when Pedro hit a single to make the score 4-1. In the 2nd, Indy and Jasper hit singles as did Rocket and Pico but neither team scored. The Macaws were 3 up 3 down in the 3rd. Wonder Wing’s Sunny hit solo HR to make the score 4-2. Macaws. In the 4th, the Macaws scored 2 runs when Baby and Ms Presley scored when Rio hit a triple. The WW’s matched the 2 runs with hits by La Roux, Lars and Buddy to make the score 6-4 Macaws. In the 5th Marley opened the inning with a solo HR as Malachite and Louie were left on the bases. WW’s Gus hit a single but the Macaw defense held strong. In the 6th, Lucky had the Macaw’s only hit as the WW’s started to rally. Zebers opened with a triple and scored when Manu hit a double. Roscoe hit a single and both scored when Sam hit a triple. Sam would score on Toby’s double to make the score 8-7 WWs. In the 7th, Macaw’s Jake and Indy reached the bases but could not score. The WWs remained hot scoring 6more runs with singles by Max, Gus and Manu, doubles by Sunny, Zebers and Buddy a triple by Ziggy and a HR by Pedro to make the score 14-7 WWs. The teams stalled out in the 8th. Playing catch up, the Macaws quickly loaded the bases with Malachite, Louie and Captain Mac and they all scored when Baby hit a Grand Slam HR. But the Wonders Wing’s defense settled down and retired the Macaws.

Final Score: Wonder Wings 14, Mighty Macaws 11.
