Queen Calico, Part two.
Queen Calico awakens to the soft sounds of gentle winds, the chirping of the wild birds and a soft knock on her door. She hears a soft voice say; “Your Majesty, breakfast is served in 30 minutes”. Queen Calico answers with a sleepy “OK” and proceeds to greet the day and get ready for breakfast.
In exactly 30 minutes there is another knock at the door. “Your Majesty, breakfast is served.” Queen Calico opens the door and a host of servants wheels in a large cart and proceeds to serve the most wonderful breakfast Queen Calico has ever had.
After a leisurely breakfast, Queen Calico summons her attendants to make herself ready for the day. She has planned out her day to include a little of everything offered by the castle staff. First; a trip to the Royal Spa.
Queen Calico enters the Royal Spa and is met by an army of attendants. She is escorted to a large chair where she is pampered with a very refreshing feather wash, accompanied by wonderful smelling creams and oils. Then Queen Calico is treated to a very relaxing massage and pedicure. Her head feathers are thourally scritched and preened and her eyelashes are trimmed and a new color of beakstick is applied. Queen Calico is now ready for her day.
After the spa, Queen Calico makes her way to the royal stables where she is met by her personal horseman. A beautiful white stallion is saddled and Queen Calico is helped up on to the beautiful steed. She is then lead by her royal horseman, for a tour of the countryside, where she is treated to beautiful views of lakes, streams and lush, green hills. Along the way, Queen Calico is greeted by the locals, who wave and cheer and throw flowers. Queen Calico is charmed by the friendly atmosphere of each little community.
It is mid morning when Queen Calico returns to the castle. She bids “good day” to her horseman and is escorted to the castle courtyard where she looks for the path to the royal kitchen for a lite lunch of fruits and veggies.
After lunch, Queen Calico returns to the courtyard to begin Popeye’s tour. She follows each of the holograms until she reaches the one that leads to the dungeons. On the post below the hologram screen is a hand written note that reads; “DON’T BE STUPID. GO BACK!” It is signed “Sunny”. Queen Calico remembers Sunny’s “feather raising” ordeal and prefers not to continue. It is now mid afternoon so Queen Calico walks over to the royal sitting room where she relaxes and reads about all who served before her. A tear comes to her eye as she reads about those who have flown to the Rainbow Bridge.
Hours pass and Queen Calico remembers that there was something that she needed to do.
