Bombers Score 29 - Wonder Wings Score 14
We lost against the Brazilian Bombers!!!
Don't worry, cheerleaders! We'll get'em next time!!
The Brazilian Bombers took the field today against the Wonder Wings. The Zons were the 1st to strike, a solo HR by Ben. The Wonder Wings would not be outdone. Max opened with a single, Pico hit a double and both scored when Gus hit a triple. Ziggy hit a double and scored when Sunny hit a HR. Roscoe followed with a HR to make the score 6-1 WW. The Zons exploded in the 2nd when Andre hit a double and scored when Aries hit a HR. Billie, Leah and Maude loaded the bases followed by Stubby’s double. Asha, Baby Girl, Ben and Maxie all hit singles and Gunner’s triple cleared the bases. Echo single and Pocco’s HR ended a 13 run inning. The WW’s managed just 1 run a HR by Toby. The 3rd inning saw just 4 hits, Aries and Leah for the Zons and Max and La Roux for the WW with no runs. The Zons added 2 runs in the 4th with Stubby’s solo HR and Asha scoring when Baby Girl hit a triple as the WW were hitless. The grief for the WW continued as the Zons scored another 6 runs. Echo scored when Pocco hit a 2nd HR. Andre, Aries and Leah scored when Matty hit a Grand Slam HR. The WW saw a solo HR by Manu followed by Toby’s single who scored when LaRoux hit a HR to make the score 22-10 Zons. Rocket had the only hit in the 6th but could not score. In the 7th, 5 straight singles by Echo, Pocco, Andre, Billie and Matty netted 3 runs. WW’s Pico hit a HR and Gus scored when Zebers hit a triple. The WW finally stopped the Zons in the 8th and scored 2 runs with hits by Roscoe, LaRoux and Lars to make the score 25-14. In the 9th, 4 more run crossed the plate for the Zons with hits by Ben, Maxie, Gunner, Echo and Andre. WW’s Rocket hit a single but was left stranded to end the game. Final Score: Amazon Brazilian Bombers 29, Wonder Wings 14. |
