Message for Zowie's mom
Thanks for leaving me a message. It's nice to meet you and Pico. You are both really cute and I think it's so cool your mom has two quakers each different color:) You have a sweet face. Thanks for complimenting on my picture. Mom doesn't have a digital camera. Her friend Sylvia took it. She used to be a great photographer and another bird lover, her bird is still here in BC her name is Angel and she is a sulphur crested cockatoo. Mom misses her friend sooo much, she passed away last June. But let's go on to happy things... so I hear your mom will add another member to the flock, a female orange winged. I don't know how talkative the females are but I talk a lot. There's an advantage and a disadvantage to that. The good thing is that I learn new words fairly easy specially the ones that are repeated to me time after time, but I can also be loud at times. Daddy says I'm the loudest bird in the house hehehe mommy always tells him "what do you expect? he's afterall an amazon" she sticks up for me. Between you and me I think I'm her favorite :) I'm full of personality, very playful, and just a whole lot of fun! Mommy has to get assertive with me from time to time as I also have a tendency to be stubborn but that doesn't fly with mommy well. She knows just how to handle me and lets me know who's boss :) I love her so much. I am two years old. I have a female orange winged friend here; her name is Baby. If you want you can also talk to her mommy. One thing mommy suggests is to get your new orange winged used to eating a variety of things from the beginning, teach her to eat veggies, fruits, grains, beans, pellets, nuts, seeds; this will help her in not becoming a fussy eater later on. I am a PIG! of course we amazons are known for that. Encourage activity and exercise; a playgym is good for that. Toys are are important and fun too. I like wrestling with mine, I twist them, hang from them, chew them, tear them apart...that's what they're for RIGHT?:) I get mom and dad to laugh sometimes when I play and act silly with my toys. I move my head sideways, tossed them, scream to them...I'm so silly :) but that's what mommy loves about me, I keep her entertained all the time. I hope to see her picture and profile soon here. I'm sure she'll be sooo cute. It's so exciting to bring a new baby:) Bye for now, Sunny.
