Well, team, I guess it just wasn't meant to be...they played a better game ~ You Cheerleaders are the BEST!

The Amazon Columbian Conquistadors took the field today against the Wonder Wings. The Zons were the 1st to strike when Fred scored when Bluebell hit a HR. The action picked up again in the 3rd inning when Zon Sunshine scored when KaRyn hit a HR. Max then hit a triple followed by a string of singles by Ethyl, Bluebell, Sugar, Fred the Elder and JennyLynn. Hits by Alfie and KaRyn closed out the inning with a score of 10-0 Zons. The WWs finally got on the scoreboard in the 4th inning when Gus scored when Ziggy hit a single. Sunny and Roscoe would follow with singles to load the bases but were stopped by the Zon defense. The Zons would add to their score in the 6th inning scoring 3 runs when Sunshine hit a solo HR followed by KaRyn scoring when Bouy hit a HR to make the score 13-1. The Zons continued to dominate in the 7th scoring 10 runs with HRs by Alfie, Sunshine, a triple by Sugar, a double by Fred the Elder, singles by KaRyn, Bouy, Max, Bluebell, Sugar, Jenny Lynn and the biggy- a Grand Slam by Ethyl and a 23-1 lead. The WWs had random hits throughout the game-Lars hit 2 singles, Manu, Gus and Max also hit singles but could not string together enough hits to score. In the 8th inning, the Zons loaded the bases with Sunshine, Bouy and Max as Sunshine scored when Ethyl hit a single. The WWs finally came to life in the 8th inning when Manu, Roscoe and Sam loaded the bases and Toby hit a Grand Slam. Buddy then hit a single and scored when LaRoux hit a HR to make the score 24-6. Zons JennyLynn and Alfie were left stranded in the 9th inning as the WWs tried to pull off a miracle. The only ray of hope was a solo HR by Gus to end the game.

Final Score: Amazon Columbian Conquistadors 24, Wonder Wings 7.

That's okay~ We still have a great record!

Your Co-Captains,
Sam & Pico
