Hi Kalina! Sorry I've been away from the computer so long! We had a major wind storm here in Washington, and just about everybody's power went out. We were out of power for a couple of days, and it got really cold here. To keep Leaf and Twig warm I got some of those little chemical handwarmers. You just open them up and shake 'em, and they warm up. Leaf and Twig slept on them at night. During the day we put them out for them, but they actually did alright in the cold. The temperature dropped gradually, so I guess they were able to get used to it. They are much tougher than I thought! I was so worried though! The worst though was just after the power went out, because it went at night, and Leaf and Twig are so scared of the dark. They freaked out and were flying around the house in a panic, and running into things. We were finally able to catch Twig and put him in a soft mesh laundry basket so he couldn't hurt himself in his panic. Then we couldn't find Leaf anywhere, and I was almost crying. But it turned out that he had calmed down, and was just up in the cabinet over the refrigerator. So they wouldn't be so scared, I opened my laptop computer and put it in the kitchen for the light from the display. Shadow did alright, but he got a bit grumpy (as did we all) with losing the light of day at 4:30. It gets dark real early here. For the next nights in the dark, Ron and I were able to get some really good LED lights. We put them around everywhere so Leaf and Twig wouldn't get so scared. Hey! I notice some new pictures of Sunny! Those are great! What and adorable little cutey! Hope all has been well on your end. Everyone and bird here are doing well, and we're very happy to have power again!
