Mom and dad took me out to the front and dad paid for my examination. I don’t understand. I was grabbed, poked, held down on a cold table, stuck with a sharp thing and had yucky pink stuff squirted into my mouth. And dad had to PAY for that. NOT FAIR! Dad put me back in the car and we all rode home. I stayed on my perch for the whole trip and watched out the windows. That was neat.
When we got home, dad put me back on my stand and gave me fresh food and water. Like a shot, I was down at my food and water cups, eating and drinking. Dad was so happy to see that. I even chirped a little.
Well, mom and dad had things to do so we were all left alone and sat and listened to 60’s rock music. I kinda like it. I sat on my perch and napped. Every now and then, I would go down for some food.
When mom and dad got home, dad took me into the kitchen. He brought Lucky out, too. He said it was time for my medicine so he grabbed me and boy, I bit him hard! Well, that didn’t work because he squirted more of that pink stuff into my mouth and put me back. I don’t know if I like this “getting well” stuff. But Lucky and I got to stay in the kitchen until mom started cooking. We’re not allowed in the kitchen when they cook. So, Lucky and I went back into our room for the night. Dad checked on me a couple of times and I was in my favorite sleeping spot, in the corner, underneath my food cup. Dad smiled and said “goodnight”.
This morning, when dad checked on me, I was sitting in front of my food cup, eating breakfast. That made dad happy, too. He uncovered all of us, turned on the music and lights and took mom to work. When he got back, he grabbed me and gave me ore of that yucky stuff. Of course I bit him. I am beginning to think that this is going to be a daily occurance. Dad then changed my water and made sure my food was fresh. Then he put clean paper in my cage so he could watch my poopys.
Right now, I’m sitting on the bottom of my cage, chew on my millet spray.
Thank you all so very much for your prayers. It is so wonderful to know that I have so many loving friends, who took the time to come by on my hatchday and who prayed for my recovery.
Love, Chilli
