Sadie!
Blanche here with a quick update on what’s going on in our flock. Mom has been pretty busy both with work and at home, and of course giving Caymus and I lots of fun time, hence our momentary disappearance from the BC. This past week one could actually say it’s starting to feel like Fall here…the temp has dropped about 10 degrees during the day…all the way into the chilly 80’s! hehehe But really, mom considers that the perfect weather for gardening and since we have two planting season is Florida, she’s got new tomato plants out there, some green peppers, herbs, onions, lettuce.

Can you believe that two months ago today I came to live with this crazy flock of mine? Mom was just thinking how well I’ve seemed to adjust and that maybe all the extra steps she took to reassure me I was permanently home, loved and safe really did make a difference. All the great advise from our BC friends helped immensely. I accepted my home, my humans, even Caymus! I never paced or panicked, never screamed excessively or got depressed, never stopped eating. I’ve even been off the sunflower seeds for almost a month and, although still not eating pellets, I’m eating other healthy foods. Not to say it’s all been smooth sailing, but all things considered, my transition went as well as any parrot could wish for.

On that note, I’m gonna go beg mom to take me out on the patio. I see some squirrels raiding the wild bird feeder and have to go yell “NO!” at them. Sending a big Zon hug your way…(squeeeeeeze)…oops, sorry, didn’t mean to squeeze ya that hard! hehehehe
