Hi Azteca and Tweety
My first family named me Jenna. I was six when I came to live with Mom and Dad so they decided not to change my name. I think jenna is a pretty name so I am glad that they kept it. At first, when they only had cockatiels, they named them after Beatle songs. Max was the first then Lucy (RIP) then JoJo, then Sadie, then Michelle (RIP)then Chuck, then Bill and then Abbey, for Abbey Road. Then Spike (RIP) came to them from another home and then Jake because they couldn't think of any more names in Beatle songs, but there was a Eleanor Rigby song but Dad didn't like Ellie. It is just as well because Jake did turn out to be a male! They decided to branch out when they got their first white face, Jake. Then came two more cockatiels, Kelly, because they bought her on St. Patricks' Day and Ruby, because of her red eyes. She's not an albino but a Lutino. Kelly is a pearl white face. Oliver, the blue crown, was named after a lake sign Mom & Dad spotted on the way home after buying him. Ozzy, the green cheek is named after Ozzy Ozborn, the budgies, named Cooper and Leonard are named after Alice Cooper and Leonard Skynard. Josh (RIP) was a rescued Quaker and when Mom got another Quaker, she just liked the name Jade. Josh and Jade shared a cage for over fifteen years and had a very strong bond. She hasn't never been quite the same since he died last January. It is funny how they come up with names, don't ya think? Mom has lots of scanned pictures but she can't remember how to send them cuz her printer/scanner was down for a few weeks. Maybe your Mom could help her? Luv, Jenna
