The rest of the gang is going great, except Windy is pining for companionship. She's a LOT more vocal- especially when she hears anything resembling a parakeet on tv! Sam has suddenly rejected his pellets, but I think it's a phase (he's holding out for nutri-berries, but he won't get any until he eats his pellets!), in the meantime he's eating lots of fresh food and seed, which is pretty good. Last week and the week before I was sick with some powerful virus so I missed three and a half days of classes. Now I'm paying for it! I'd missed Thurs and Tues in a row, so when I asked for (and got) art history notes last Wed, my classmates said "Hope this helps, good luck on the test tomorrow" !?!!? So I had a test with NO time to prepare, but actually I think I did fine on the essay portion- certainly not worse than a C (which is really bad for me, but what can I expect, I missed 2/3 of the lectures!). In my physics class he expects us to know triginomitry and calculus (which I DON'T), but I think I'll be able to bluff my way through it. In my sculpture class we're doing hands- boring!- out of clay that we'll cast in plaster. I missed a day, but I work fast so I'm caught up with everyone else (almost finished, just have to work on the knuckles of one hand). OOOh, I'd JUST finished with the knuchles of the right hand when my teacher told me that the fingers on that hand were too thin- I almost died! Fortunately it wasn't that hard to fix and he was right, it's much better now. For my drawing class I have to make a portfolio of ten to twelve drawings "in the style of but not copying" Grant Wood. Fine. That's great that you have your brother in Government with you! Your teacher sounds like a total nut! There's a former US Senator teaching Gov't at Washtenaw but I didn't have her, the woman I had was VERY smart and very normal (thank goodness!) she didn't voice her opinions about politics during class. What a crazy photography teacher you have! Is she going through a bad divorce? I feel bad for any men taking her class!! How are your birds, sitting well on their eggs? I'm hoping to get at least one English budgie. One of the local pet stores has some, but they're normal green or sky blue (hate to say it, but - boring!), I want something more special, you know.
