I'm sure your mommy misses you!
Rest in peace little buddy! You were a beautiful cockatiel! What happened? I've had a baby tiel pass away too.
My first brood (I am just preparing a nest for my second) that I had last year was a wonderful clutch. We thought we were so lucky when all 3 eggs hatched! But then things went wrong. The youngest baby died without any warnings. We don't know why. We were very depressed but we had to finish the job! Once they were all over 4 weeks old, we forgot all about caution. What could go wrong? But then, Pearl, the now youngest, started twitching uncontrollably and after 2 days, was thought to be a goner. But mommy wouldn't give up hope! She took that baby out, kept her warm, and hand fed her the highest quality formula! The next day, she was still alive! Then over the next few weeks, slowly, day by day, she grew stronger and stronger until she was a healthy (almost) cockatiel! Now, she seems to have a few disorders with her growth (her tail is still only half the size it should be and refuses to grow any more) but she is fine. She is being weighed on a regular basis and is kept on a pellet diet.
I thought you'd like that story! I hope this brood is healthier, but I will love the babies either way!
