Plants
A list of toxic and nontoxic plants for your bird.
Plant names can vary depending on the source and region. Consult a local nursery to verify the names of plants in your home. A list of nontoxic plants is also included, however, any plant can be harmful if your bird consumes it in large enough quantities. Consult your veterinarian with concerns about plants before using them in your home.
Toxic Plants:
Acokanthera – Acokanthera spp. (all parts toxic, except ripe fruit)
Amaryllis – Amaryllis spp.
Angel’s Trumpet – Datura spp., (leaves, seeds, flowers)
Apricot – Prunus armeniaca (pits, leave and bark)
