Hi Ginie and Jojo Here is another tip. :)
If your birds do not know how to get into the water or how to bathe, I would start with a mister. The gentler the better. Once he falls in love with the mister and looks forward to be misted, place him infront of a pool of water. Dip your finger in it and tell the budgie how much fun it is! Splash and swirl the water gently with your finger and tell him that there is nothing better. Continue this step untill he understands what it is. Praise him when he steps onto the bowl or pool edge. He may expiriment with the water by dipping his beak into it and putting his foot in it. When he is confident enough to bathe, praise him and let him enjoy the wonderful water.

What I started doing with my budgies, I placed a familiar perch into my shower anderneath the shower stream. Make sure the water is not too hot incase he flies into the stream. He will be uneasy at first but he will soon enjoy it. This is a very good idea because it is a good way to bond with the bird. Before you take a shower with your bird, do not run the water and place them on the perch. Then step inside the shower. When you all are togethor, talk to them and when they calm down and seem to enjoy the space, take them out and do it again the next day. When the become familiar with the shower, turn the water on and watch them have some fun.

If all else fails, stick to the mister.
Take Care!
