My Mommy wrote such a long email to Erin on Sierra's page that I thought I should write something to Sam so he doesn't feel left out. Anyway, Mommy didn't get me from a breeder, but just a nice lady who's 2 blue Quakers decided to make her a Grandma!! :) Mommy just started scanning the BC pages for blue quakers. They're pretty hard to find, too. She went through about 30 pages before she found the lady in Ohio who just happened to have 2 babies for sale. Mommy didn't even find that out until they had emiled back and forth a few times. Mommy just wanted some info about them and how much they cost, etc. Then the nice lady told Mommy about the 2 babies. She said she wasn't as interested in selling them as she was in making sure they went to an EXCELLENT home. She said that she would keep them 1st, and that several people had contacted her about buying them already, but she didn't think they'd take really good care of her "babies". But for some reason she sure liked my Mommy. I guess she could just tell my Mommy was the same kind of bird person she was. My Feathered Mom and Dad are Leikela and Kukuwi. They both have web pages here. But if you go to Tiki's or Babbit's page, you can see all 5 of the nice lady's quakers at the bottom the the page. They're all so cute. Their pic appeared in the back section of Bird Talk mag. in the July issue with the eclectus on the cover. (One of the green ones died.) Anyway I did see Daisy Jane's name on Babbit's page from when they 1st joined the BC last March. Is the green cheeked conure at your house loud, too? Does he talk? I saw one at Petco last week and it was SO sweet and about 4-5 mos. old. It never made any noise and I stopped in to see it 3x. The person who worked there said it wasn't loud. It let me rub its head through the cage bars and then it climbed on my finger through the bars, too. So then I asked the person if I could take it out and hold it and they let me. It was a very sweet bird. But like I said previously, my husband thinks 2 is enough especially since I'm still working.
