Long time no squawk is right! I've not had a regular writing privilege in weeks now, much to my chagrin. Just when I think I've got the mom into a workable habit, she up and finds something else that's deemed "more important". What, I ask, is more important than keeping in touch with one's friends? Not a whole lot.

So, what's new with you? I imagine you have a whole new page of vocabulary words added to your collection of language skills. I still think about your declaring the word "snow" when you saw that white stuff falling outside. Most impressive.

I'm curious to know if you've been DNA'd. I just recently took that little test myself and have proof now that I am indeed of the female persuasion. The shocker (or maybe not so much so) was that the first Grey here is not a "Sheba" but rather a HEba....!! Mom had become suspicious of the bird's true gender since she/he weighed more than most Greys. That along with the fact his covert feathers don't have that hint of greyish white at the tips convinced mom that a testing was necessary. Though we've known now for months, it's still a habit to refer to the big guy as a 'she', having done it for eight years. There's no changing the bird's name; he's had "Sheba" for a name for 20 years. "Sheba" it'll stay, I guess.

I hope this finds you well and enjoying the summer days~
